Hey all my neglected bloggers! Did y'all think I had lost my way? LOL I made time this week to complete the weekly challenge from Scrappy Accents. We were to make an altered item other than a card or layout. I have had this frame from Kaiser Crafts beyond the page forever! This challenge was perfect to finally do something with it. Here are the supplies that were required.

2 patterned papers
stamped image
3 brads or gems
ribbon or string
rub-on
Here is my item

I love the way the alphas turned out. I used plain chipboard letters, coated them with Tim Holtz Distressed Crackle Paint in Picket Fence, then dabbed them with his distressed ink pad, old paper, and rubbed it in, then smudged the edges with the distressed ink pad, peeled paint. I then laid the letters randomly side by side and stamped them, then wrapped embroidery string around each letter in a different spot. Pin It

Sketch Hostess

This week I am the sketch hostess on Scrappy Sunday over on Paper Craft Planet. I am super excited about this! The sketches on Scrappy Sunday are so totally awesome, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to compare, but I had to give it a try. Here is my sketch, and then a layout based on the sketch. To see past and future sketches, come on over to Scrappy Sunday and join us. Pin It

Second Award

The next award I received today was Happy 101 Blog Award from Cori. Another honor from a very talented lady. Stop over at her blog at Creative Chat. While there, check out her awesome scrappy space...I am soooo jealous! I keep hinting to her to loan me her hubby just long enough for him to make me a awesome scrappy space like hers...but for some reason...she just doesn't offer to loan him out! LOL

With this award, I have to list 10 things that make me happy and pass the award along to 5 other people.

10 Things That Make Me Happy

1. My grandkids - who make me laugh and pull my hair out all in the same day

2. My hubby - who is my rock and spoils me rotten

3. My kids - whewww, glad their grown! lol

4. Scrapping - helps keep my sanity

5. My quiet time - ssshhhhhh

WOW What A Day!

Today must be my lucky day! I got not one, but two blog awards today...how awesome is that???! And to top it off, hubby bought me a new Kodak printer with wifi capabilities....whew whooo!
Now back to the awards. The first award came from Tracy. Lemonade Award. What an honor coming from such a talented lady. Thanks Tracy! Stop on over at her blog, Queenies. I know you will not be disappointed, and sure you will be inspired.

I'm not sure if there are any rules and requirements that go
along with this award other than passing it along. After some consideration (hard choice!) I am passing this award along to Jan over at Paper Craft Pleasures. She is also a very talented lady and I so enjoy learning from her.

We Have A Winner!

Over at Scrappy Accents, they have a monthly sketch challenge. If you complete a project based on the sketch and upload it to the gallery, you are put into a drawing for some scrappy goodies. January's sketch winner is Mica. Here is her layout and a bit about her.
Hi. My name is Mica. I live in Mississippi with my husband of almost 20 years and we have a 15-year-old daughter. I've been enjoying scrapbooking for about 3 years now. I love working with sketches. They eliminate a great deal of my frustration when scrapping and allow my layouts to be versatile. I was looking for some sketch sites to join this year and I found this friendly community. I am so happy to be a part of it :):)

To see more of Mica's work, visit her blog at Scrapbookedmoments.blogspot.com

The new sketch is up, so head over to Scrappy Accents and play along! Pin It
