123 Receipe Challenge

It's time again for a new challenge at The Paper Variety. This week it's a 1 2 3 receipe challenge. Follow the receipe and submit your creation for a chance at winning Aprils awesome kit from Artful Delights. Just look at all the goodies in that kit!

I had just a bit of a problem with my project. I had it all planned and laid out, then I realized I didn't have just 1 item. I was stumped! In the end, I decided on one star brad, two pattern papers, and three photos.

Saying Goodbye and Thanks!

Today, I say goodbye as design team member of The Cuttlebug Spot. Nilda is putting the challenge blog on hold while she takes care of some things in her personal life. It has been an honor to be a part of this fantastic challenge blog and work with such awesomely talented designers! THANKS Nilda for the opportunity you have given me! I will eagerly be awaiting your return!

Now on to my creation. This week we were to use felt. I have had these felt borders by Prima for ages! guess now was the perfect time to use them. I've also had these flowers that were gifted to me from my good scrappy friend Sandi. The card is very simple (for me...LOL) but all in all, I think it turned out great.

Link Your Blog Party!

Momo is doing a "Link Your Blog" thingy to generate followers for those of us that have less than 200 followers.

Here is her Game Plan:

-If you have less than 200 followers, link your blog HERE!
(Remember if you get new followers, follow them back!)

-If you have more than 200 followers, visit some of the blogs below and be inspired!!!
(Make sure to write somewhere on your comment "Momo sent me" to win a prize!)

Since she wants us to have fun! In about a week she is going to radomly pick one of the blogs from the list and they are going to win a $10 Gift Certificate to PaperTreyInk and then she will go to their blog and pick a comment on one of thier posts (remember to put "Momo sent me") and that person will also win a $10 Gift Certificate.

Now how fun is that?! Be sure to go post your blog link on her site!

Friends Always

I made this card to surprise my online friend Dawn. While making it, I could picture her reaction when she opened it up. She is such a sapping soul...LOL! If you don't know Dawn, you should, she is one of the nicest people I know. She never has a bad word to say about anyone. I even questioned if she was real...LMBO!

I'm using this for this weeks challenge over at Flutter By Wednesdays. This week is open, create what ever your lil heart desires...as long as it includes a butterfly, fairy, or angel on it. Head on over to their blog to check out the DT's inspiration.

Bassinet

First, I have to give credit for the concept of this layout to Sandi Clarkson. She made a layout of her expectant twin grandbabies and it was so stickin' cute, I knew I HAD to lift it.

The challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot was to use buttons on your project. I made lil rose buds from tiny pink buttons. I think they are so cute!

I also used little yellow buttons for the centers of my handmade flowers.

So that it will qualify for one of the challenges in my yahoo group Scrappin-N-Chattin, I had to incorporate some journaling. So for this layout, I did hidden journaling. It tucks behind the altra sound photos.

Thanks for stopping by!

Doctor Love

This layout was planned for The Paper Variety's challenge last week, however, I didn't get it started in time to qualify...nothing new there...I'm always running behind!  LOL

When I seen this weeks challenge was to use green and white at Lasting Memories, I thought hey...I need to make this layout and clear at least one thing off my desk. So here it is!

Do you ever have a layout that your just not crazy about?  well this is one of those layouts for me. I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't speak to me.  LOL Pin It

1st Reveal for TPV!

I have been so excited, and it has been hard to keep my big mouth shut!  I have been invited to join the design team for The Paper Variety! I LOVE the challenges they host, so it was an honor to become one of their designers. If you are not familar with them, you MUST come and follow along. Like I said, the challenges are great, and the sponsors are AWESOME! This weeks sponor is a $15.00 gift certificate to The Scrapbooking Cottage, plus, this awesome kit of Crate Paper.

This week the challenge is to use this sketch by Jana Eubank.

Now on to my creation. This is the last in the series of four layouts of my grandkids that I have been making to frame and hang on my walls. I hand made all the flowers and the title "precious BABY". Isn't that banner just precious? I cut it using one of my favorite cartridges, Elegant Cake. I added Stickles, pink pearls, and more handmade flowers. I just love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to head over to The Paper Variety to see more inspiration by the design team.

Charmed

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot, the prompt is to use a charm on your project. I love charms, but never remember to use them on my projects. I was glad to see Nilda had chose them for this week. I've decided to make a card this week.

I cut the background from the Elegant Cake cartridge using Core'dinations cardstock. I LOVE this cardstock! I used a dark eggplant color for the shawdow base and whitewash with lime green for the top cut. Of course, I HAD to sand both. I love the look!

I made the flowering vine. I really like making these because I can coordinate them with any of my color themes. These ones are much easier and faster than the coffee filter ones. I attached the charm to the flowers with a bow.

Baby Boy

When my friend Dawn suggested that I frame one of the layouts of my granddaughter, it gave me the idea to make a layout of each of my grandkids to frame and use for art work. I only have one grandson, so I decided to use The Paper Variety's prompt this week, which is to go GREEN.
