Kali

Thank goodness the DT Call is going on all month at Lasting Memories. I have been dealing with sever hip pain and can not sit long, so it has taken me longer to make my layout for the first weeks challenge. The challenge is to follow a sketch, with a twist to add buttons.

Here is the sketch

And here is the layout I made
This layout is also for this weeks challenge at The Paper Variety. This weeks challenge is to use any type of thread (yarn, ribbon, floss, twine, lace, basic sewing thread ect...).

I used papers from the Chapter One Collection by KaiserCraft.
I heat embossed the title. I'm not too sure I care for it. I really don't think I used the right font stamps for this technique, as it is hard to read. It says "Kali"

I love to layer, and used a few different embellishments, some chipboard icons from Me&My Big Ideas. I also heat embossed one of the bird icons. I really like how it turned out. There's a butterfly punch, and some of my handmade flowers as well.

I used some crinkled ribbon that I made and ran it along the border punch I received in a border swap that was held in the Yahoo Group, Scrappin-N-Chattin. I then ran some of the ribbon through the button holes and tied it onto the strip of ribbon. I also used some Liquid Pearls along the border punch.

Ford

I decided to do a layout to go with the F-150 that I did the other day using this weeks sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. It also qualifies for a couple of this months challenges at Scrappin-N-Chattin, the Yahoo Group that I belong to. We were to do some fussy cutting for one. I cut out the cogs from the pattern paper.

F-150

This week's challenge at The Paper Variety, is to use circles. They can be painted, punched, stamped, or however you want to make them. I punched mine from the patten papers I  used.

I used this weeks sketch by Sketchy Thursdays and Bo Bunny's Grease Monkey collection, which was gifted to me and I've been hoarding for eons just waiting for the right photos to come along. What better than the new F-150 opa recently bought Dax? He was soooo excited and loves to drive it!

For one of the challenges at Scrappin-N-Chattin, the Yahoo Group I belong to, is to use a ticket of some form on your layout. Now it would have been awesome if I would of had a copy of a speeding ticket...but I didn't, so I used a generic ticket stub.
