Using It Up

Like most other paper crafters, I have stacks of old papers. I get so excited when new stuff comes, that I push the old back so I can play with the new. Remember, we buy it because we loved it when it came out, so why not use it up? That is one of my new goals, to make at least one thing a week from older collections. This week I made two. I used a way old collection I ran across looking for something else. I was gifted this collection.(sorry don't remember by who now...it's been so long) I used What a Hoot Caboodle Kit by Three Bugs in a Rug. It is full of bright, happy colors. I needed something cheerful after suffering with an awful abscess tooth this past week.

The first layout I made is of my oldest grand daughter Josslyn when she was still a baby cruising around in her walker.

The second one is of my middle grand daughter Rachel playing with her daddy's hat. Both of these layouts make me feel happy.

Love Box

The challenge this two weeks at The Cuttlebug Spot is to create a box and make something to go inside it. I made a small "Love" box. I designed this flip top box and will have a tutorial on how to construct it soon.

Inside my box, I made note cards. There is room for small photos and some journaling.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to head over to The Cuttlebug Spot to see what the other designers created. Pin It

Fan Fold/TPV

Another fun challenge is happening over at The Paper Variety. Today we are to make a project that incorporates the fan fold technique. The prize is too awesome to pass up this week, so get your fan fold projects made and posted for your chance to win this from Bo Bunny.

Enchanted Collection

Isn't it beautiful?

The first thing that popped in my head, was the ever so popular fan fold flowers. However, I wanted to do something different.

This is what I came up with

I literally made a fan. My scrappy space is black and white, so this is going to look great in a shadow box hanging on the wall. Here are a few close ups.

tu-tu Cute

I used sketch #190 from Creative Scrappers for this layout of my grand daughter Rachel. I took a lot of tu tu pictures while they were here visiting a few months ago. I really need to make a mini album of all the different ones I took.

Anyway, here is the sketch.

And here is my layout.
Isn't she adorable with that flower stuck to her pacifier? She was throwing a fit and doesn't go far or long with out it.

This Way/Bo Bunny

This months layout challenge at Bo Bunny is this great photo for inspiration.

Isn't it great? Just look at all the different items to pull inspiration from. My inspiration came from the colors, which I love.  For my layout, I used the Ad Lib collection.

The background blue looks like it came right off of the accent wall of the room, and other pattern from the bed spread. Also, the grids on the paper from the grids of the windows. This collection fit perfectly with the inspiration photo.
I cut the title, "This way to the best time of our life", from one of the papers from the collection. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Snow Days Blog Hop

Welcome to the Snow Days Blog Hop!!

We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature everything about Snow Days!! You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- We hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!!

If you'd like to join our Snow Days Fun, then you are in the right place. Keep alert for blog candy along the way as some hop stops will be offering some goodies...

For the hop today, I've created a banner.
I cut the snow flakes out using the Demask Decor cartridge , cutting enough to spell "Let It Snow". Using a smaller snow flake to divide the words, and added tinsel glitter to sparkle them up. I connected them using fibers. Here is a close up.

Thank you again for checking out my project... Now hop on over to Anita's blog.

Here's a list of the entire hop, in case you get lost along the way or want to revisit anyone:

Here are some close ups.
