Southern Belle

This weeks challenge at The Paper Variety, is movie theme.   I recently captured this photo of my granddaughter Josslyn, and it immediately made me think of Gone With The Wind. I think it had to do with the floppy hat...lol.

I had alot of fun creating the embellishments for this layout. As y'all know, I LOVE making flowers. For this layout, I made a floral vine as well as mini roses. I added a couple of feathers behind the vine. And look at that butterfly...I think it turned out great. I used Build a Bug stamps from CTMH, colored it in with Bic Marks It, added some Stickles, then gave a generous coat of Glossy Accents.

This is also being used for another challenge over at Scrappin-N-Chattin, which is to use decorative scissors. Luckily, I kept a few pair for Dax to play around with.

Talk about adorable! I just LOVE how this hat turned out. I cut it from the Heritage cartridge. I added a small feather and the mini roses that I made, a tad bit of ribbon and a couple small strands of beads. Since it is a silhouette, I had to cut it in three colors to get the look I wanted.

I cut the word Belle out with the Cricut and SCAL using a font called Choppin Script.

Thanks for stopping by!

I knew the page you created with this photo was going to be awesome. It's amazing. The butterfly is beautiful. I love the way you did the title, with the word Southern going around the word Belle. Just gorgeous.
